Privacy policy
Transparent. Clear. Directly accessible.
Controller and contact
The controller is Frank Enzmann, Heiner-Moll-Weg 21, 18055 Rostock, Germany. Privacy enquiries: kontakt@presslify.com.
Service delivery and security
When you visit, your IP address, access time, requested URL, browser information and technical status data are transmitted to the hosting provider. Processing serves delivery and protection of the service under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Database access uses the existing STRATO infrastructure. Server log scope and retention depend on hosting configuration; contact the controller for details about stored data.
Accounts and submissions
Registration processes your name, email address, password hash, confirmation data and timestamps to provide your account under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. A confirmation email verifies your address. Submitted text, source details and dates are processed to operate publishing and prevent abuse. Published content is publicly accessible worldwide and may be indexed by search engines. Contact us to request deletion of an unconfirmed registration.
Cookies and language
Public content pages do not require tracking. Sign-in and forms use an essential session cookie (presslify_session, ending with the browser session; sign-in expires after two hours of inactivity). Your explicit language choice is stored in presslify_lang for 180 days. Legal bases are section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Without a saved choice, the entry page evaluates your browser language.
No advertising or analytics services
This website does not load Google ads, analytics pixels, external fonts or social media embeds. External links are accessed only when you click them. Time-limited HMAC-pseudonymised IP keys are processed in server temporary storage to limit abusive login and publishing attempts; expired entries are periodically removed. The basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact and reports
We process information you provide when contacting us to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Reports of unlawful content are processed for assessment and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR). Provide only information needed to handle your request.
Retention and recipients
Account data is processed for the lifetime of the account. After closure, data is deleted or restricted unless retention duties, unresolved cases or legitimate evidentiary interests apply. Recipients may include hosting and email processors and legally authorised bodies. Public releases remain accessible until corrected or withdrawn; removal from third-party archives or search engines is not fully under our control.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Any consent may be withdrawn for the future. Contact kontakt@presslify.com. You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, including the authority for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. No automated decision-making with legal effects takes place.
